My first taste of gambling came when I was 12 years old when me and a school friend would place 20p bets on correct football scores. However, once I turned 18 that's when the real journey began..

As soon as I turned 18 I was extremely excited to be able to gamble and I began gambling on football instantly. At the beginning my gambling was controlled and it was only £5/£10 on a Saturday afternoon. But, within just a few months I started to gamble every day with much higher stakes and I was gambling on anything and everything.  I was now gambling on football, horse racing, greyhounds, roulette, blackjack, American football, ice hockey.. absolutely anything.

When I turned 19 I started to take out loans and credit cards to fund my gambling. I was raking up tens of thousands of pounds worth of debt but, i still never had intentions of stopping. 

I continued to gamble like an absolute maniac for several more years and I had a total of approximately £25,000 worth of gambling debt. 

My parents eventually found out about my addiction when I was around 21/22 years old and I have been on the road to recovery ever since.
